Unless otherwise stated, eligibility for benefits begins on the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
In general, employees must work a minimum of 30 hours per week to qualify for full-time status
Full-time employees and qualified dependents (spouse, children) are eligible to join our medical plan. Our plan is contracted with the United Healthcare network. Gene Juarez subsidizes a portion of the premiums for employee coverage.
Full-time employees and qualified dependents (spouse, children) are eligible to join one of our dental plans. We offer a PPO plan with United Healthcare as well as an EPO plan with Willamette Dental.
Full-time employees and qualified dependents (spouse, children) are eligible to join our vision plan. Our plan is contracted with the EyeMed Insight Network.
Life & AD&D Insurance
Gene Juarez provides $10,000 of Life Insurance coverage and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance coverage for all full-time employees. Full-time employees may also purchase additional coverage at group rates for themselves, their spouse, and children.
Long Term Disability
Full-time employees may enroll in long-term disability coverage, which covers 60% of lost wages for disability-related absences lasting longer than 90 days.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Full-time employees may contribute earnings on a pre-tax basis to any of our four offered flexible spending accounts (FSAs). We offer FSAs for qualifying healthcare, dependent care, public transit, and work-related parking expenses.
Employee Assistance Program
All employees are eligible to utilize our Employee Assistance Program at any point during their employment.
All employees who are over the age of 18 are eligible to participate in the company’s 401(k) plan. The company will match 5% of deferrals up to 10% of compensation.
Service & Retail Discounts
All employees are eligible to receive generous discounts on services and products.
Paid Time Off
Salon & spa professionals and support team positions accrue PTO on a monthly basis based on hours worked and can begin using PTO on their 90th day of employment. Employees earn 1 hour for every 30 hours worked in their first year. Full-time employees have the opportunity to earn PTO at a higher rate after 1 year of employment.
